Date: July 10, 2024

Maintenance Window: 12.00PM - 5.00PM CEST

Status: Planned

Details

On the 14th of July 2024 the SAML certificate for the standardized SAML SSO connections will expire on the customer environments that have a SAML SSO configured. Mapiq will take action and renew the certificate that is about to expire.

The Subscription- and Building administrators of impacted customers have received a banner in admin.mapiq.com notifying them of the maintenance. In case you are such an admin and did not receive a banner, this maintenance will not impact your environment.

Customer actions

Customers that use our SAML metadata URL for their SSO configuration should automatically pick up the new certificate when the metadata is on their end. No further action is needed, but consider a rollover period within this maintenance window.

Any customers that manually import the metadata or the certificate would need to update their configuration the moment the certificate rollover has occurred.

Uncertain if your app manually imported the certificate, we advise to reach out to the administrator of your Active Directory to double-check! However, in the majority of the cases a metadata URL is configured.

When and what to expect?

The maintenance will commence on July 10th between 12.00PM and 5.00PM CEST. During the certificate rollover period users might experience issues when they need to sign in: in case the old certificate is still used while the new certificate is expected. These issues should resolve when the correct certificate is picked up by the customers IdP. Request

Any users that already have an active session with Mapiq and do not need to sign in via their SSO should not be impacted.
