Migration details
From July 1, 2026, Azure Databricks is moving to a new URL format for open Delta Sharing, directly affecting tokens issued through Mapiq's Data Connection. As outlined in the Azure Databricks release notes.
Tokens created before July 1, 2026 will continue to work until December 8, 2026. Tokens created from July 1, 2026 onwards will use the new format automatically.
Actions to take
From July 1, 2026, new endpoint URLs will be available in the Data Connections UI. Check your recipients' current endpoints and identify which ones use the old format.
Update your clients to use the new-style endpoints as soon as they become available. New endpoints are per access key, not per data connection — factor this into your configuration.
Ensure all clients are migrated to the new endpoints before December 8, 2026. After that date, old-format endpoint URLs will stop working.
