Sync Your Work Calendar with Mapiq
Updated over a year ago

Mapiq allows you to connect your work calendar, streamlining your workspace experience. With this integration, you can book meeting rooms, view all your upcoming events, and see event attendees directly within Mapiq.

How to Sync Your Calendar?

Follow these steps to connect and sync your work calendar with Mapiq:

  1. Log in to Mapiq through the mobile app or the website (app.mapiq.com).

  2. Go to "Your Profile" and scroll down until you see the Calendar synchronization option.

  3. Click or tap "Enable."

You'll need to provide consent for Mapiq to access your calendar. Walk through the process and sign in with your work account. Once you've completed the consent flow, your work calendar will be successfully synced.

⚠️ If you don't see the Calendar synchronization section, the calendar integration is not yet enabled for your organization, or this feature might not be part of your subscription.

What You're Giving Consent To

When integrating your work calendar, Mapiq uses existing user permissions. Mapiq can only access what you've shared according to the policies set by your organization within the work calendar, including all previously configured policies or booking rules.

By consenting, Mapiq can access all events from your user-owned calendars and create new events in those calendars. Mapiq does not have access to calendars of non-consenting users or shared calendars you have personal access to. However, if those users attend a meeting in your calendar, Mapiq can see some of their details, such as display name, email address, and attendance status.

Attendee Status Overview

After you connect your calendar, you can create meetings within Mapiq and invite external users. For an easy overview, we put invitees into three different categories based on where they will be working for that day:

Status

Description

At the office

Invitees known to Mapiq will be in the office on the day of the meeting at the location it is hosted.

Remote

Invitees known to Mapiq are working but will not be in the office where the meeting is hosted.

Unknown

Invitees unknown to Mapiq, usually external attendees or those without a known location.

If an invitee hasn't set their workday status, first, they'll show up under "Unknown." Once they've set their status to "Not working" or "Working remote," their status will be updated in the attendees' list.

Calendar Statuses & Meeting Organization

Once connected, you can enjoy a daily overview of all your meetings and attending colleagues with color-coded statuses:

You're at the office during the meeting

You're working remotely during the meeting

Pending meeting request

Meeting is cancelled

Data Storage

Mapiq does not store calendar data. The integration ensures that work agendas remain the primary source of calendar data. If a user revokes their consent, Mapiq will no longer access that user's calendar data.
