Getting started with Insights

Updated this week

Mapiq provides valuable insights tailored for local workplace teams to effectively manage their building capacity and gain valuable analytics on the utilization of workplace resources. However, many decisions are made at a global level, so it is crucial to identify areas where investments can enhance employee experience, reduce costs, and update office mandates to advance our workplace strategy.

Workplace teams face three main challenges:

  • Dispersed data with limited accessibility

  • Complexity in interpreting data to establish priorities

  • Importance of sharing insights

With Mapiq Insights, you have a platform that consolidates workplace data to assist in optimizing your workplace portfolio. From the portfolio to building level, you can establish occupancy targets to determine Shortage or Oversupply situations and promptly identify locations within their portfolio that require attention.

Prerequisite(s)

Insights requires data ingestion by data sources. Certain reports are created based in data gathered by Mapiq (e.g., workspace booking data, profile setup), whereas others require specific integrations to be enabled. In the overview below you can find an overview what reports require an additional data source.

Note: In case you do not have a required data source enabled for a report, the report won't show up in your list under the Insights tab or show as completely empty.

Navigating Insights

The Insights landing page shows you a direct overview of your office portfolio and their performance. From the landing page you can deep dive into the different insights presented. The following elements are important to highlight for navigating to the correct resource and getting the desired insights.

Insights element

Description

Performance

A roll up of all the important insights. You are presented with a Table view as well as a Map view, giving you quick insights in the performance of the offices in your portfolio. Clicking on specific performance metrics allows you to further specify office targets or deep dive into specific office performance.

Reports

Overview of all the reports available to you in Insights. Mapiq only visualizes the reports for which the dedicated data source integration is activated for (e.g. Room Calendar Integration)

Targets

You can establish targets per data source, giving a definition to what you deem a healthy office. For example, specifying what a quiet or busy office is.

By setting targets you can promptly identify locations within your portfolio that require attention. Defined targets are persistent and will be visualized as a filter on the reports.

Filters

You can filter in the reports to ensure you are looking at relevant data for you. Specify the period, days in the week and time window you are interested it. The filters are persistent and will show on each individual report.
