Deleting a Group

Sometimes you need to remove a Group that's no longer needed. Any confirmed member of a Group can delete it, but keep in mind that this action removes the Group for everyone.

When you delete a Group, all members lose access to each other's schedules unless they're also connected individually. Mapiq will ask you to confirm before the deletion is finalized, ensuring you're certain about removing the Group.

Deleting a Group

  1. Go to the Connect tab.

  2. Click on the Group you want to delete from the Groups section at the top of the page.

  3. You're presented with the Group's overview, click on Group settings.

  4. Click on Delete group.

  5. A confirmation window pops up, select Delete group.

  6. You're directed back to the Connect tab and a confirmation is given that the Group is deleted.

Behind the scenes

  • All confirmed members have equal rights to delete a Group.

  • Deleting a Group removes it for all members simultaneously.

  • When you delete a Group, members lose access to each other's schedules unless they're also connections.

  • If the last member leaves a Group, it's automatically deleted.

  • Mapiq prompts a confirmation before finalizing the deletion to prevent accidental removal.
