Experience your workplace in vivid detail with 3D maps. By enabling this feature, you'll see your office spaces come to life with realistic visualization that makes navigation intuitive and helps you quickly recognize landmarks and areas as they actually appear.
By default, 3D maps are automatically enabled if your device can handle the requirements. You can easily toggle between 3D and 2D views based on your preference.
Enabling 3D maps
Sign in to Mapiq.
Navigate to
Your Profile(click on profile picture or initials in the top right corner).Scroll until you find the
Preferencessection and toggle theShow maps in 3d.
Behind the scenes
By default, maps will show in 3D if your device (PC or mobile) can manage the requirements. If your device cannot handle 3D rendering, Mapiq will automatically default back to the 2D render of the map.
3D maps tend to give a clearer visual representation of your building than 2D maps.
3D maps are currently only used in the
Findtab. Smaller representations of the map, like in theDay overview,Hometab and the booking flow, use the 2D version still.On the
Findtab the 3D map is used for visualizing the meeting rooms with their associated occupancy (e.g. sensors or room booking data), workspaces and other facilities.
