Deleting your Building

When a physical location closes, undergoes a major reorganization, or is permanently decommissioned, you may need to remove it from Mapiq. Deleting a building ensures it no longer appears in the Admin Portal or the employee app, preventing employees from making bookings there.

Deleting a building

  1. Navigate to Buildings

  2. Select the building you want to delete from the environment from the building list.

  3. On the Overview page, click on the triple dots in the Building overview window.

  4. Select Delete building.

  5. You're presented with a warning window, click on Yes, delete to confirm.

  6. To make completely sure you want to delete the building, you're presented with a text field that requires you to type Delete building.

  7. Type Delete building and click on Delete.

  8. The building is directly deleted from your list.

Behind the scenes

  • Once deleted, a building is immediately removed from both the Admin Portal and the employee app. Employees can no longer see or access the building, and all future bookings are deleted accordingly.

  • Mapiq continues to provide Insights for all deleted buildings. You can still access and review all historical occupancy, booking, and usage data for any deleted building in the Insights section.
