Once your building has been set up in Mapiq, you may want to take your digital twin beyond the platform. Whether you need to troubleshoot a configuration, analyze your building data in a different tool, or simply explore the setup in another environment, Mapiq's export functionality has you covered. With just a few clicks, you can export your building and take it wherever you need it to go.
Export your building
To enlist Mapiq's support in resolving your building configuration issues, follow these steps to export your building:
Go to the Buildings tab in Mapiq Admin (https://admin.mapiq.com).
Go to the building you want to export.
Select the button with the three dots in the top right corner of the screen and press the option Export building.
Your building will be exported in the background. The time required depends on the building's size, including the number of floors, desks, and images. You can continue using Mapiq Admin while the export is going on.
Once complete, a .zip file containing a .json file with basic building information and all building images (floor plans & meeting room pictures) will be saved to your computer. Share this file with the appropriate Mapiq team.
💡 All buildings, published or not and with or without errors, can be exported.
Only full building exports are possible; partial exports are not available now.
