Mapiq Admin is a powerful tool designed to help you coordinate office days and ensure a safe capacity. We understand that managing your office space might require a team effort. That's why Mapiq Admin offers a variety of roles with different permissions to help your colleagues manage specific aspects of Mapiq.

The table below shows which admin roles can assign members to other roles. Subscription Administrators and Building Administrators are the only roles with permission to assign roles.

Role Descriptions and Use Cases

Subscription Administrator

As a Subscription Administrator, you have control over every aspect of the configuration within the Mapiq subscription. Additionally, you can assign administrative roles to other users within their subscriptions.

Use case: A Subscription Administrator is assigned when a new subscription is created. In larger organizations, the Subscription Administrator typically sets up additional lower-level administrators (like Building Administrators) to allow them to start configuring parts of the subscription.

Building Administrator

As a Building Administrator, you are the operational Mapiq manager. You manage the capacity of each building and structure this according to how the office is divided into areas. You can create and delete quota profiles and assign Booking Assistants, Booking Hosts, and Analytics Viewers.

Use case: A facility manager sets up the building structure and the capacity associated with each structure.

Booking Administrator

As a Booking Administrator, you determine which employees need to be in the office to provide a certain amount of quota, taking locations and frequencies into account.

Use case: In cases where tasks are more divided, the Booking Administrator manages access profiles, reducing the Building Administrator's workload to building capacity.

Booking Assistant

As a Booking Assistant, you assist in booking for guests and colleagues, and you can modify the booking schedule.

Use case: This role is designed to assist others in their booking planning, often used by Personal Assistants or department secretaries. For one-off situations that require exceptions to access profile restrictions, you can also make bookings exceeding the access profile's limits.

Booking Host

As a Booking Host, you help maintain a safe office capacity during office days by checking which booking are booked and by whom.

Use case: A security team member wants to see who has booked for the day and export that information.

Analytics Viewer

As an Analytics Viewer, you can view the Analytics tab and see data about how Mapiq is used.

Use case: A data science team needs to view the dashboard to analyze workspace utilization and trends.
