Accessing The Developer Portal

Get access to the developer portal to start using Mapiq's Public API.

Updated over a week ago

Mapiq's Public API allows you to create custom integrations and automation tailored to your systems. Whether retrieving active user data or posting sensor information to Mapiq, our API empowers you to connect seamlessly. Let's explore how you can access our developer portal to get started.

Developer Portal

The developer portal is your gateway to Mapiq's Public API. It can be accessed through any web browser.

Within the developer portal, you will find the following:

  • API references

  • Getting started guide

  • Overview of your profile

  • Migration guide for transitioning from API v1 to API v2

⚠️ Mapiq's Public API v1 is deprecated. New API users automatically receive credentials for v2. To migrate from v1 to v2, follow the steps outlined in our developer portal's "Migrate from v1 to v2" section.

Accessing with your Mapiq Account

You can use your existing Mapiq account credentials to access the developer portal. Follow these steps:

  1. Click Sign In >> Sign in with your Mapiq account.

  2. You will be redirected to your company's sign-in page. Here you can log in using your usual credentials.

  3. After successfully signing in, you will be directed to the home page, where you can access the API references and profile information and sign out using the navigation options at the top.

⚠️ If you find yourself going in circles and continuously landing on the home screen without actually being logged in, you likely signed up during the v1 phase of Mapiq's API. Please refer to the next chapter for further instructions in such a case.

Accessing with your Developer Account

If you are working with a third-party developer responsible for integrating Mapiq's Public API on your behalf, we recommend signing in with a developer account. Or if you used Mapiq's Public API when it was still in v1 also sign in with a developer account. Follow these steps:

Request Access

  1. Click on "Sign In" and select "Sign in with a developer account."

  2. If you don't have a developer account, click "Request access" and complete the registration form. Activate your account by following the instructions sent to your email.

⚠️ Please check your spam or junk folder if you don't receive the email promptly.

  3. If you already have a developer account, sign in using the Use your existing account option.

  4. After successfully signing in, you will be redirected to the home page, where you can access the API references and profile information and sign out using the navigation options at the top.
