Are you working from home or remote? Is my team coming today or should I come in tomorrow? By booking your workday through Mapiq and connecting with your colleagues, Mapiq removes a barrier and help you effortlessly book a workday that suits your needs. From suggesting available meeting rooms in the office, to who will be meeting face-to-face or hybrid, Mapiq shows you all the details. Let's book your workday!

Booking your workday

Mapiq allows you to make three different type of bookings. Clarify where you will be working by choosing either of the three options outlined below.

Working from the office

For working from the office there are four different scenarios that you can encounter based on the booking policy in place for an office (mandatory or optional desk booking) and whether you've allowed Mapiq to automatically book a workspace or if you want to do it manually.

Book a "Not working" day

  1. Login to the Mapiq app and navigate to .

  2. On both the mobile and web app, the week overview is presented.

  3. In the row of the day you're not working, click on .

  4. Confirmation is given as the icon turns from gray to beige.

Book a "Working remote" workday

  1. Login to the Mapiq app and navigate to .

  2. On both the mobile and web app, the week overview is presented.

  3. In the row of the day you're working remote, click on .

  4. Confirmation is given as the icon turns from gray to yellow.

Book a "Working from the office" workday

As mentioned, when you're working from the office, there are some flavors you can run into. Find each individual scenario below.

Automatic selection and Mandatory workspace booking

  1. Login to the Mapiq app and navigate to .

  2. On both the mobile and web app, the week overview is presented.

  3. In the row of the day you're working from the office, click on .

  4. Based on your booking preferences a spot is found. To give you confirmation, the icon changes from to with the specific workspace name displayed next to the icon.

Automatic selection and Optional workspace booking

  1. Login to the Mapiq app and navigate to .

  2. On both the mobile and web app, the week overview is presented.

  3. In the row of the day you're working from the office, click on .

  4. Based on your booking preferences your office is selected and a booking is created. To confirm this, the icon changes from to .

  5. As a workspace is optional, you are presented with a choice to book a workspace. In case a workspace is desired click on to add a workspace. A workspace is automatically selected by your preference.

  6. Confirmation of your found spot is given as the icon changes to the specific location .

Manual selection and Mandatory workspace booking

  1. Login to the Mapiq app and navigate to .

  2. On both the mobile and web app, the week overview is presented.

  3. In the row of the day you're working from the office, click on .

  4. Based on your booking preferences you need to manually select the workspace you want to work from. Click on area workspace under Workspace.

  5. Select the workspace you want to work from for that day and save your booking.

  6. Confirmation of booked workspace is given, as the icon changes to the specific location .

Manual selection and Optional workspace booking

  1. Login to the Mapiq app and navigate to .

  2. On both the mobile and web app, the week overview is presented.

  3. In the row of the day you're working from the office, click on .

  4. Based on your booking preferences your office is selected and a booking is created. To confirm this, the icon changes from to .

  5. As a workspace is optional, you are presented with a choice to book a workspace. In case a workspace is desired click on to add a workspace.

  6. As your workspace selection is set to manual, you'll have to select a specific workspace. Click on area workspace under Workspace.

  7. Select the workspace you want to work from for that day and save your booking.

  8. Confirmation of booked workspace is given, as the icon changes to the specific location .

No suitable suggestion

When no suitable suggestion can be found, Mapiq informs you of this. The app either provides you an alternative on the same floor or you'll need to manually book another workspace. Follow the according flow as outlined in the sections under Book a "Working from the office" workday.

In case the booking policy in your office is set to Optional workspace bookings, and no suitable suggestion can be given, note that your office is selected! You only need to manually book the workspace.
