Accepting or rejecting a connection

Updated over a week ago

When a colleague wants to stay connected with you in Mapiq, they'll send you a connection request. You'll see a notification in the app, and it's up to you to decide whether to accept or decline. Accepting means you'll both see each other's office bookings and schedules, making it easier to coordinate your in-office days and work near each other. If you prefer not to connect, you can reject the request, no hard feelings, the rejection happens quietly.

Accepting a connection

  1. Log in to Mapiq through mobile or web.

  2. A new connections request is indicated by the blue disc on the Connect tab.

  3. Click on Connect to open the tab.

  4. New connection requests are visualized on top.

  5. The name and profile picture of the colleague that wants to connect is shown and you are presented with a checkmark or cross.

  6. Click on the the check mark icon to accept the request.

  7. Your connection will immediately appear under the section Connected colleagues .

Rejecting a connection

  6. Click on the the check cross icon to reject the request.

  7. The request will disappear from the invite list.

On the side of the requester, your rejection is not immediately visualized, but will silently be removed over time.

Behind the scenes

  • Connection requests must be accepted before you can see your connection's bookings in the booking flows or on maps.

  • When you receive a connection request, you'll get a notification within the app.

  • Rejected connections remain in the sender's list for some time and are quietly removed, they won't know you rejected them right away.

πŸ’‘ You don't need to be a connection with someone to invite them for a group booking, connections are specifically for seeing each other's schedules and bookings.
