As an Admin there could be a situation where you would like to disable one or more desks from being booked. The following options are available to you.
Additional Closed Days
You can use additional closed days to close specific work spaces for workspace bookings.
Pros
You can plan in a period for which the workspace would be unavailable.
You do not have to make changes to your building or revert the change at a later moment.
Your employees will be able to see in which period the workspace in unavailable but can plan around this period.
Cons
You can not specify specific desks to be closed, but you can block the area (workspace) a desk is a part of. In short, if you have an area with 6 desks, you would immediately close all 6 desks for bookings.
Existing bookings on this workspace will be deleted.
The method of using additional closed days is the recommend option, mainly because it allows you to plan the period in which these desks need to be blocked. In the booking flow it will also block the desks only for this specific period.
Manually disabling desks
In the map editor it's possible to disable desks from being booked. If you go to a desk in the map editor and press on the down arrow next to the desk you can select the option to disable this desk.
Pros
You can very specifically disable desks for workspace bookings.
Cons
You need to publish the building for the change to have an effect. You need to revert the changes if you want to make the desks available again.
After publishing the changes will have an immediate effect.
Any existing bookings on disabled desks will be deleted.

Update Location Profiles
Similarly to Additional closed days, when updating Location Profiles you can disable specific areas to be bookable by the people you want.
Pros
You don't have to publish the building with this change.
Cons
Your change goes live instantly, you can't specify a specific period thus you have to revert the changes at a later stage
Existing bookings will remain active and are not deleted after adjusting your location profiles.
