Configure a service with a URL

Updated this week

Linking to an external page can be a simple yet powerful way to extend your service experience. Whether you're directing users to a help article, a third-party app, or a custom-built form, Mapiq allows you to configure a URL as a service resource. This ensures your colleagues can easily access the right tools or information at the right time. Here’s how to set it up.

Setting up a URL with services

Follow the step-by-step guide to setup a URL to pages outside of Mapiq.

Choose the URL Resource

When creating a new service in Mapiq, select URL as the resource type. This tells Mapiq that the service will redirect users to an external webpage.

Add the External Link

Paste the full URL of the page you want to link to. This could be:

  • A help center article

  • A third-party booking tool

  • A Microsoft Power App

  • Or any other external service that complements your workflow

Save and Publish Your Service

Once the URL is added, save your configuration and publish the service. When users select this service, they’ll be redirected to the external page you’ve specified—seamlessly connecting Mapiq with the tools your team already uses.
