Mapiq helps you see when your colleagues are in the office and streamlines your workday by allowing you to book a parking spot. This ensures you have a place even before arriving at the office.
🚨The parking functionality is an add-on to the Mapiq App. Depending on your organization's contract with Mapiq, this feature may not be available within the app! Reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information.
When can I make a parking reservation?
A parking reservation is visible to you when:
The office you booked a workday for has a parking lot associated with it.
You have booked a workday at an office.
Next to whether a parking lot is created for the office, the behavior depends on whether you have set any booking preference for it (e.g. automatic or manual booking).
⚠️ Currently, you can only make 1 parking reservation for the day and it will be for the full day. Therefore you have no possibility to select a timeslot for a Parking booking.
Adding a parking reservation to your workday
In the sections below you can find how a parking reservation can be added to your booking. You can do it through either the Week overview or Day overview.
To clarify, adding a parking spot will always be an additional action, and won't be automatically booked with your Workday booking. Let's dive into the different scenarios, depending on whether you're booking through the day or week overview.
Automatic booking through the Week overview
For the automatic booking flow to work, ensure you have enabled your booking preferences for parking and allowed Mapiq to book a spot for you.
Book a Workday at the office with a Parking lot.
After getting the confirmation of you Workday booking, a car icon is presented next to your workday to add a parking spot

Click on the parking spot
, and Mapiq will look for a suitable parking spot.
In case you have multiple Workday bookings, select the office you want to make a Parking booking for.
The booking is confirmed once the icon is displayed with a green check mark

You can find more details on the spot booked in your day overview.
Manual booking through the Week overview
Book a Workday at the office with a Parking lot.
After getting the confirmation the option is presented to add a parking spot

Click on the parking spot
.
In case you have multiple Workday bookings, select the office you want to make a Parking booking for.
Select the parking lot you want to book a spot for.
In case zones are specified within the parking lot, select the zone you want to make a booking for.
The booking is confirmed once the icon is displayed with a green check mark

You can find more details on the spot booked in your day overview.
Manual booking through the Day overview
When adding a workspace through the Day overview, parking must be booked manually, automatic booking is not available in this flow.
Select the day you want to add a Parking booking for.
Ensure you have a Workday booked at an office with a Parking lot.
Select
+ Add Booking
>Parking
.In case you have multiple Workday bookings, select the office you want to make a Parking booking for.
Select the Parking lot and zone (if specified) to finalize your booking.
