This article explains what you can expect of each one of these bookings so your day flows smoothly from start to finish.
Your booking options
In the Day Overview you can tailor your workday to your needs by enriching it with different bookings. Mapiq offers the following booking options:
Workspace
Meeting room
Parking spot
Services
Workday location
Let's dive in to each booking option to understand when to use it.
Workspace
A workspace booking is a booking that secures you a spot to work from within the office. Depending on the configuration set by your admin, a workspace booking can be:
A dedicated desk booking
A booking on an area in which you can use all available desk.
Workspace bookings can be created for the full day or divided into different timeslots. To understand the different booking flows please refer to the article Adding a Workspace booking.
Meeting room
Mapiq integrates natively with M365 and Google Workspace to synchronize with your work calendar. With this integration active, the Meeting room
booking option allows to create a meeting, just like you would in M365 or Google Workspace, and book a meeting room.

Parking spot
As the name implies, a parking spot booking allows you to book a parking spot at the office your going to work from. This option is only available to you a parking lot is configured for your office and can differ per office (in case of multiple offices within 1 subscription). Refer to our Adding a Parking booking article for exact steps to book a parking spot.
Currently, Parking spot bookings are full day only! It's not possible to make a timeslot booking for parking spots.
Services
Want to reserve your lunch, or do you have a specific guest registration system? Services bookings got you covered. Services link Mapiq to external tools used within your organization. Mapiq acts as a hub so you can book everything your need for a smooth workday. Refer to our Adding a Service booking article for exact steps to book a parking spot.
Services are optional and configured by your local administrators.
Workday location
The Workday location booking option allows you to make a workday booking, indicating to what office you're coming to work. Similar to workspaces you can create timeslot bookings for workdays, making it easy to indicate your working in two different offices during the day. Refer to our Adding a Workday booking article for exact steps to book a parking spot.
Workspaces and workdays often go hand-in-hand but a workspace booking always requires a workday booking. To understand the difference between the two please refer to the article Workspace and Workday Booking.
