Adding Your License Plate

Register your license plate for a hassle-free parking access

Updated over a week ago

Mapiq offers employees the convenience of booking parking in their office's designated parking lots. Parking lots can be obtained through various means, including automated gates and badge sensors. With Mapiq, you can add your license plate to your profile so that you can easily access your parking lot the next time you visit the office and commute by car.

⚠️ Be aware that adding a license plate to Mapiq does not directly mean the gate opens automatically. The correct systems must be in place, and an active integration must be built before that is possible.

Please contact your local Mapiq Administrator(s) or Facility Manager to ensure this active system is in place.

Adding a License Plate

Follow these steps to add your license plate to Mapiq:

  1. Go to Your Profile.

  2. Scroll down until you see "License plate," and press the "+" icon.

  3. Enter your license plate in the pop-up window, and press "OK" when finished.

⚠️ Currently, the app only supports adding one license plate per account.

Depending on your organization, a license plate could be mandatory to enter the parking lot. Always check with your organization if there are more requirements.

Deleting & Editing License Plates

Currently, Mapiq only allows you to add one license plate; however, we understand you might have multiple vehicles to use when commuting to the office. For now, the only workaround is to remove the active license plate and enter the new one.

Follow these steps to edit or delete your active license plate:

  1. Go to Your Profile.

  2. Locate the trash can icon and click on it.

  3. From there, repeat the steps from "Adding a license plate" to add a new license plate.

⚠️ When swapping license plates, it is crucial that it is done before booking your workday. What is good to know is that the system only knows the latest license plate configured. If you swapped license plates, then historical bookings will show your latest configured license plate, so make sure to do this before at least one day before you come to the office to allow the systems sufficient time to sync correctly.
