Limited parking space at corporate offices can be a significant source of frustration for employees. Searching for a suitable spot or being forced to park elsewhere due to insufficient space can lead to a stressful start to the workday.
Mapiq helps address this issue by allowing you to set up your parking lot for a seamless parking experience while providing valuable insights into balancing parking capacity.
Creating Parking Lots
Administrators with the appropriate permissions will see a new Parking tab in the Mapiq Admin Portal. To create a parking lot, follow these steps:
Go to the Parking tab.
Click on "+ Add your first parking lot" or "+ Add parking lot" if you've created one before.
In the menu that appears, configure the following settings:
Setting | Description |
Name | The name of the parking lot. |
Total Capacity | The total capacity of the parking lot. |
Add a Zone | Use zones to designate handicapped or electric charging areas. Access to these zones can be managed through Access >> Location profiles >> Parking location profiles.
⚠️ When zones are added, the Total capacity is determined by summing the capacity of individual zones, and setting a different Total capacity will not be possible.

Connected Buildings | Link a building to a parking lot to set its time zone and make it available for users in that office. |
Open Days | Define the days the parking lot is available.
⚠️ Open days are independent of building opening days since parking lots can be used for multiple buildings. |
⚠️ After configuring the parking lot settings, you can choose "Save" or "Save & Publish" the parking lot. Saving allows you to work on the parking lot at a later date, while Save & Publish makes it live for your users.
Publishing Parking Lots
Parking lots can be published without being linked to a building. However, end-users will only see parking lots connected to a building.
Editing Parking Lots
Administrators can edit and adjust parking lots by opening the Parking tab and making changes to the following items:
Parking Lot Name
Total Capacity
Configured Zones
Connected Buildings
Open Days
⚠️ Making changes to a parking lot may introduce errors. Error messages will appear with instructions on how to address the issue.
Deleting Parking Lots
To delete a parking lot, administrators must confirm their intention to do so. If there are active reservations under the parking lot, they will be canceled upon deletion. To delete a parking lot, follow these steps:
Go to Parking and select the Parking lot to delete.
Open the menu, select "Delete parking lot," and click "Delete."
