Arriving at the office just got one step shorter. Scan the Mapiq QR code at the entrance and you're checked in, with your office day sorted out in the same go. There's no need to open the app first or look for the right button. Here's how it works.
Checking In with a QR Code
Scan the check-in QR code at your building to check in and plan your office day in one go.
Find the Mapiq check-in QR code at the entrance or reception of your building.
Open your phone's camera, point it at the QR code, and tap the link that appears.
Mapiq opens, and if you aren't signed in yet, it asks you to log in first.
Mapiq checks you in and shows a confirmation of what happened with your office day.
If you had planned to work remotely or not to work today, choose
Make it an office dayorKeep my plans. If the confirmation asks you to book a workspace, book one to complete your office day.
What happens to your day
Your check-in always comes first. What Mapiq does next depends on what you had planned for today.
Your day, before scanning | What Mapiq does | What you see |
An office day is already planned, in any building | Leaves your plans as they are and checks you in | You're checked in at (building). |
Nothing is planned for today | Checks you in and plans an office day in the building you scanned | You're checked in at (building) and your office day is planned. |
You planned to work remotely, or not to work | Checks you in and asks whether to make today an office day | A question first (see below) |
When you planned to work remotely or not to work
Mapiq checks you in and then asks what you'd like to do with your day. You see You'd planned to work remotely today (or You'd planned not to work today), with the question You're checked in at (building). Do you want to make today an office day there instead?
Make it an office dayplans an office day in the building you scanned.Keep my plansleaves your day as it was. You see You're checked in at (building).
You stay checked in either way.
When your office needs a workspace
Some buildings don't allow an office day without a workspace. In that case, Mapiq tries to book one for you from your workspace preferences. This works when your preferred floor is in the building you just scanned.
What happened | What you see |
Mapiq booked a workspace for you | You're checked in at (building). Your office day and workspace are booked. |
Mapiq couldn't pick a workspace for you | You're checked in at (building) and your office day is planned. Book a workspace to complete it. |
When your office day can't be planned
Sometimes Mapiq can't plan your office day. You then see You're checked in at (building), but we couldn't plan your office day. You're still checked in, so you can plan your office day yourself in the app.
đĄ Tip: Seeing App version not compatible after scanning? Your Mapiq app is out of date. Tap the button to go to the app store and update it, then scan again.
Behind the scenes
Check-in always happens first â Even when Mapiq can't plan your office day, your check-in stays in place.
One code for the whole building â Every check-in QR code in your building works the same way, so you can scan whichever one you pass.
It works on remote days too â Scanning checks you in even if you planned to work remotely. Mapiq only asks before it changes your plans.
Workspaces follow your preferences â Automatic booking uses your workspace preferences. If your preferred floor is in another building, you book a workspace yourself.
Scanning twice is fine â Scanning again on the same day runs the same check-in. Your office day is already planned by then, so Mapiq leaves it as it is.
Your organization switches it on â QR check-in only works when your organization has enabled check-in in Mapiq.
