When you have a workday or workspace reservation, you can check in to let your connections know you've physically have arrived at the office. This creates a clear "I'm here" signal on top of your reservation, making it easier for colleagues to know who is truly present in the building.
When you check in, a green disc appears next to your profile picture across Mapiq. All your connections can see this indicator, helping everyone stay informed about who's in the office.
Manually checking in to the office
Log in to Mapiq through mobile or web.
Open the
Hometab (usually the first tab you enter when accessing Mapiq, unless you used a bookmark). At the top of the
Hometab your current workday reservation is shown. In this block there's also the option to set your check-in status. In case you haven't checked in, the button is black and stated
Check in, press on the button to check yourself in.After doing so your profile picture in the app will visualize your checked in status by showing a green disc.
This green disc is also visible for all your connections to see and understand that you have checked in to the office.
Automatic check-in to the office
Organizations can configure automatic check-in through integrated systems like Wi-Fi or access badge readers. When you arrive at the office, the system detects your presence and checks you in automatically. No manual action required. A green disc appears next to your profile picture, visible to all your connections across Mapiq. If you have a workday or workspace reservation, you're checked in when the system detects your arrival and can manually check out later if needed. Without a reservation, you're automatically checked in but cannot adjust your status manually for that day unless you create a booking. The system detects your arrival through Wi-Fi connections, access badge readers, or other integrated systems your organization has configured.
Behind the scenes
Check-in needs to be enabled in the Settings page of the Admin Portal.
You need an active workday or workspace reservation to check in manually.
You cannot check in when you've set your workday as "Working remotely" or "Working from home".
Your check-in status is visible to all your connections.
At midnight, your check-in status automatically resets for the new day.
