Reservations

To get a better understanding on how your colleagues are spending their time in the office the Office day bookings section can be utilized. It makes a distinction of when it is most busy in the office and where it is most busy. The main graphs in this report shows different data between colleagues who book a workspace or only a workday. The data shows how many colleagues go to the office to work behind a desk or colleagues who only come to the office to meet up with others.

Office days over time

This graph shows the difference in your colleagues who created a workspace booking versus the users who only created a workday booking. On the right hand side it is possible to change the view to only see the data on a specific building or a different timespan. Colleagues with workspace bookings can be seen in the blue column and colleagues with office day only are in the pink column. This data allows you to see if a lot of employees are unable to book a workspace or if you have a surplus of workspaces because people don't need to book one when they come to the office.

Office days per day of the week

This graph shows the same data as the previous one but visualizes it differently. In the first graph the data is shown in absolute numbers. It shows the exact amount of colleagues that booked a workday in Mapiq on a specific day. On this graph the data is visualized in percentages.

The graph is divided in to five columns, each representing a day in the week. It shows the percentage of colleagues who have a workspace booking and a booking with an office day only. The data is shown in averages.

Office days per location

The penultimate graph of this section is the office days per location graph. This graph shows the distribution of planned office days with or without workspace booking. This can be very useful if you have more than one office building in your portfolio.

For how long do employees plan to work at the office?

Since the introduction of the Time slots feature we allow our users to set the exact times when they are coming to the office. This graph perfectly capitulates how long those office visits are. The graph shows you the percentage of bookings per different timeframe. This graph gives a good understanding on the broader picture but doesn’t allow you to see the average duration of a booking per individual.

Behind the scenes

  • Data source is booking data — The Reservations report draws on booking data only. It tracks planned office days and workspace bookings made in Mapiq, not physical presence. For presence-based data, see the Check-ins deep dive.

  • Office day only versus workspace booking — An employee can log an office day without booking a desk. Both types appear in this report, shown as separate stacks so you can track desk booking adoption alongside attendance. This is only possible when the mandatory desk booking setting is turned off.

  • The capacity line reflects your building settings — The capacity line in the time chart is based on the total capacity set in Mapiq Admin. If the line looks wrong, check your building settings.
