Configuring Your Workspace Booking Policies

With Mapiq, you can create a detailed digital representation of your building(s) by adding workspaces, meeting rooms, and more. However, employees may not be seated at a single workspace all day, so workspace booking policies help users indicate when they'll be in the office without occupying a desk for the entire day. This is perfect for flexible workspaces or professionals with frequent meetings.

How to set up Workspace Booking Policies?

To configure workspace booking policies for each building, navigate to Access > "Workspace Booking Policies." This page displays an overview of all your published buildings.

You have two policy options:

Policy

Description

Mandatory

This policy requires users to book a workspace within their office, which could be a reservation at the building, floor, area, or desk level.

Optional

This policy allows users to choose whether to book a workspace in the building or specify that they will be in the office for the day, accommodating various workstyles.

⚠️ The default setting is Mandatory, but please visit the Access Page to enable the Optional policy if needed.
